ABOUT ME

I'm Jon Eggena and I am a lead buyer's agent for Mountain Home Properties.  I have recently started the Homes of Asheville team which is dedicated to assisting home buyer's find the perfect house or land parcel in the greater Asheville area.  Thank you for taking time to check out my website!  This website is intended to be a way for you to get inspired of all the beauty here in Western North Carolina; as well, a way for you to get to know me thru various pictures & blogs.

Highlights:

*  I have been selling real estate in greater Asheville since 2006.

*  I grew up in Greenville, SC and graduated college from Auburn University.

*  I currently reside in the Enka-Candler-Biltmore Lake area.

*  I am married to an awesome wife who grew up in these mountains with 1 beautiful daughter.

*  One thing you will notice:  I am extremely passionate about living here in Western North Carolina.  The natural beauty, the eclectic people, the music &  arts scene, the history, the amazing restaurants & breweries & wineries...I love it all!

*  After living in Atlanta, GA for 10 years and dealing with all the congestion & big city madness, I feel extremely lucky to be living here in Western NC.

*  I bought my first house in Asheville back in 2002 in the Montford neighborhood and loved the art & process of renovating an old home.

*  My parents had renovated a home in downtown Charleston, SC back in the 1990's; so, I guess it's in my blood.

*  I'm a freak about beautiful homes & architecture.

*  I also love showing/researching beautiful land tracts all around these beautiful mountains.  In a typical year, I will usually sell as many land transactions as I do  homes.

What makes me different from the other agents?

*  Where most real estate agents focus on maybe 1 or 2 counties, I actually cover the greater 10 county region surrounding Asheville.  And as Asheville keeps growing, buyers are wanting to see more 'value' which is causing people to look further outside of Asheville.

*  Buyers need to know the differences between places like Burnsville, Brevard, Waynesville, Marshall, Tryon, Lake Lure, Black Mountain, etc.

*   A sample of my work:  just last year, I sold a historic home near the Grove Park neighborhood in Asheville, a small 2 bedroom ranch in Kenilworth, a house at the Waynesville Country Club, a farm in Lake Lure that would become a wedding venue, a 40 acre land tract in Marshall, a round DelTec house in Tryon, 18 secluded acres in Black Mountain, a land/home package at a golf course in Old Fort, a log cabin in the Wolf Laurel development, a small 3 acre land parcel in rural Spring Creek, a house in Burnsville...and the list goes on.

*  Here is why this important:  most of the buyers I work with tell me they know they want to be somewhere around Asheville but just aren't sure where.  This is where my years of experience/knowledge/exposure can greatly help you in determining where that perfect spot is for you.

*  I cover the greater 10 county region.

*  I thrive on the thrill of the 'hunt' in finding your property; I love getting to know my clients on a deeper level; and I love seeing the look on your face and twinkle in your eye when we find that perfect property.

My pledge to you:

Whether you are a 1st time buyer or on your 10th home, I pledge to you that I will do my best to help you purchase a home in greater Asheville with your best interest in mind.  I will give you honest opinions based on my knowledge of the area so that you can make good long term decisions.
