Have you heard the news?! Allegiant Air is now offering from (cheap) flights from Asheville, NC to Denver, CO! Starting in May, we will be able to buy round trip tix from Asheville to Denver for roughly $130.
I can see so many synergistic things that this is going to offer Asheville and Denver residents.
1) Asheville residents can now wax up their snow skis and head to Denver, rent a car and ski all the great slopes like A-Basin, Breckinridge, Vail, Winter Park, etc.
2) The Asheville Tourists (farm team for the Colorado Rockies) will feel more reunited with the Colorado Rockies.
3) There is a very serious beer community here in Asheville as well as Colorado. This new portal will surely strengthen & tighten relationships between Asheville brewers & Colorado brewers.
4) I'm betting that a few Denver residents (greater population of 3+ million) will enjoy trips to Asheville to tour the Biltmore Estate, stay at the Grand Bohemian, Grove Park Inn, etc, and, of course, tour 1 or 3 or 10 breweries.
5) The new agers in Boulder will meet their East coast counterparts in Asheville.
6) With all the music festivals going on in Western North Carolina & Colorado, I have a feeling I'll be making plans to attend the Telluride Folk Festival in the not too distant future.
What can I say?! Excited...to say the least.
